After a long awaited 20 years, BMW finally rolls out the second generation 8 series dubbed the BMW M850i. This all new BMW, just like his older brother, is the top of the line offering from BMW. The 8 indicates the models status at the top of the food chain among the BMW M6, i8, and Alpina series models. Initially offered as the M850i, you can expect to see more models coming in the future including a convertible model and the highly anticipated M8.
The M850i is a big boy weighing in at approximately 5,280 lbs, but don’t fooled by the massive size of this beast. Equip with a 4.4-liter 523-hp twin turbo V8, you can expect to hit 60 mph in only 3.4 seconds. That’s on par with the likes of the Lamborghini LP-580 which performs the 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and only two hundredths of a second slower than a Porsche GT3. Those are some pretty impressive numbers considering both the other cars were made to be track monsters. BMW’s Head of Suspension, Jon Van As, was quoted saying the M850i has “exceptionally high cornering speeds prior to the intervention of the electronics. So those who wish can drive on the racing track with active DSC, too.” So I guess it does mean it can keep up with the big boys, ey?
Blaque Diamond’s M850i is on a level of it’s own. Tuned by the famous Gintani, this beast evolves from it’s measly 530-hp to 650-hp to the wheels! But whats the point of all that power when you don’t have the proper wheel setup to supplement all the additional torque? Well, problem solved. The Blaque Diamond x Gintani M850i is sitting on Blaque Diamond’s newest rim to it’s collection, the BD-F18. The F18, just the like M850i, is in a league of its own. This new flow forged wheel gives the Bimmer the upgrades it needs to unleash it’s full power. Sitting on a staggered set up, the BD-F18 reduces the weight of the car and provides maximum grip when ripping through the streets, and the track of course! Sporting a 20×9 in the front and 20×11 in the rear on some thick Toyo Proxes, Blaque Diamond upped the meat just enough to give this monster the traction it needs.
Not only does the BD-F18 do justice to the performance of the BMW, it also gives the car a unique look that is sure to break necks. It sports a deep concave profile and pocked spoke design with a Blaque Diamond exclusive Diamond Center Cap. The Gloss Black adds layers of depth as you lose yourself in the design. You almost forget about the beast of a vehicle that they are mounted on. Seem the to be the Blaque Diamond effect.
Features of the BD-F18 Wheels
The BD-F18 is lighter, stronger, and more stylish than the competition. Whether you’re going for balls to wall performance or you are looking for that unique staggered style, the BD-F18 offers the best of both worlds. With a deep concave profile and pocketed spoke design, you are sure to make a statement no matter which ride they go on. The BD-F18 also features an exclusive Diamond Center Cap you won’t see anywhere else.
